Hi, it’s Cihan (or G as my people call me). I’m a music producer and audio engineer originally from a mediterranean city of Turkey, called Adana. Was born on September 15th, 1992 and lived in many different places up until this day.
Along with a big love for football, I was into music since early age, playing organ and singing in school chorus from time to time. One of the first things I noticed about music when I was a kid was that “mainstream” Turkish music didn’t attract me at all. Music with lyrics that I could understand has never been my preference. Instead, I was listening to artists like George Michael, Paco de Lucia, Gypsy Kings, James Brown, Kylie Minogue, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Snoop Dogg and such. Kind of diversity 🙂
The thing that caught me in the music of those artists was probably the groove and the melodic arrangement they had, shaping my musical mind.
In 2006, I moved to Istanbul in order to have high school education. Lived there for 6 years and in the last year of my time in there I bought my first MIDI keyboard 🎹 and audio interface to make electronic music. I looked up on internet to learn where to start but everything seemed extremely complicated to me. Compressors, EQs, Instruments, Reverbs, In’s and Out’s etc. they were all Chinese to me. I knew I had some skills, when I sit in the chair I always produced nice melodies and drum loops in Reason 5 but had no idea what to do next. In the same year, I met Deep House music and fell in love with it. It easily became my favorite genre. I still remember the first time I heard it, I felt like I was in space floating. felt those smooth and elegant, “nighty” sounds in my soul. Soon after that I discovered another amazing type of House music called Soulful House which was the cherry on top. I love the sunny and happy feeling that it gives. My go-to sound at seaside in summer time.

After the journey in there, I lived in two different cities for university studies. In 2017, another sudden desire appeared out of nowhere to push me into DJ mixing 🎧 . I heard that Ableton was a good DAW for making sets and downloaded a copy of it. Got some practice on it and started publishing my sets under the digital label I created : “909 Lounge”.
Making DJ mixes was a great motivation for me. Even though I’ve never live DJ’ed, I loved making and uploading sets to internet to see people enjoying them. My goal was to create an “ambiance” in my sets by gathering dope tunes and I was testing my mixing skills by blending them in a nice way.
Finally in 2021, I moved to Spain to get the Music Production education that I desired for a long time. Already knew some contemporary Spanish bands and artists but more importantly, I grew up listening to the music of Paco de Lucia and Gypsy Kings. A culture that I always wondered and a language that I always wanted to learn.
Studies were mixed with a lot of technical knowledge that it was called “Technical Diploma in Music Production”. Basically “Audio Engineering & Music Production”. Learning how to process an audio signal, how to color and shape it, to know what parameter is about what, producing something that would inspire other people and give them good feelings is a nice achievement for me. During my music education, I made productions for term projects in which I included some good female vocalists (students). Because it is a pleasure for me to find “hidden gems” and make something unique out of them. In the end, it is a mutual happiness.
After having finished my studies, I started releasing my music under the name “G. Sharp” . So far I’ve got place in compilations of 2 well known Deep House labels. My first ever release was published in a VA Compilation of DeepClass Records. Later, another track of mine was released in the Autumn Air compilation of DeepWit Recordings. And it is just the beginning!
